NUMBERS BOOST BUT HARD WORK AHEAD FOR GOLD COAST TOURISM INDUSTRY
Domestic overnight visitor arrivals and daytrip visitor arrivals to the Gold Coast increased in the 12 months to March 2011 according to the latest figures released today by Tourism Research Australia. The most recent tourism data shows 3.4 million (up 7%) domestic overnight visitors and 7.4 million (up 33%) domestic daytrip visitors arrived on the Gold Coast between April 2010 and March 2011.
