Currumbin

Currumbin is a photographer's paradise with spectacular views both north and south. With numerous vantage points including Currumbin Rock, Elephant Rock and Currumbin Hill Lookout, this is a great spot to enjoy expansive views of the Southern Gold Coast.

Currumbin has a unique character – where the bush meets the beach with a bustling beachside village of boutique shops and cafes along Pacific Parade. After a light meal take a drive 15mins west and you’ll find amazing sub-tropical rainforests, National Parks, rock pools and rockslides to explore.

Kite-surfing, Kayaking, Board riding, Surf-Ski’s and Stand-Up Board Paddling are a few of the activities for which Currumbin Alley is famous. The gentle surf and small rock pools make this area's beaches popular with young families and water sports enthusiasts alike. Elephant Rock and Currumbin Rock enclose a popular surfing beach.

After a busy morning workout at the beach, sit back and quench your thirst at any one of the many cafes or Currumbin Vikings Surf Life Saving Club, where you can sit out over the ocean and soak up the amazing views. You can even try your hand at a spot of fishing along the picturesque Currumbin Creek Estuary.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - With hundreds of native Australian animals on display in natural bush land and rainforest settings, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary provides a rare opportunity to “get closer” to some amazing native wildlife.

The Sanctuary offers a world of discovery through fascinating wildlife shows and displays, nightly Wildlife Adventure tours and its latest attractions The Green Challenge and Segway Safari’s. With more than 1400 animals and birds, the Sanctuary is home to one of the largest collections of Australian native wildlife in the world. Established nearly 60 years ago, the Sanctuary has attracted millions of visitors throughout its history and continues to provide opportunities to “get closer” to Australia’s amazing wildlife.
