With an attendance of over 24,000 visitors, the Gold Coast Multicultural Festival has become a vibrant showcase of the cultural diversity that the city has to offer in terms of International Food, Music, Dance, Art, Craft and Multicultural Information. In it's fifth year, the Festival is one of the few large 'free' community events that the whole family can enjoy.
Designated by the Queensland Minister for Multicultural Affairs as an "iconic Queensland event", the 2011 festival featured over 60 stalls including ethnic foods, arts, crafts and information, 75 performers from 25 different nations on four stages, an AFL children's activity area, children's amusement rides, visits from local Councillors and Ministers and much more.
