Bilinga
Bilinga is home to Gold Coast Airport, the gateway to national and international destinations, and a range of aviation services including sky diving and joy flights. A Southern Cross University Campus is located less than 400m from Bilinga’s beautiful stretch of unspoilt beach.
A perfect place for a leisurely walk along the foreshore’s paved walkways or on the beach, Bilinga has managed to retain its charm and laidback lifestyle that many visitors crave. All within a short walk of a bustling business precinct on the other side of the highway. Bilinga provides the best of both worlds, all in one sleepy little beachside village.
Bilinga’s beachside streets are lined with accommodation, including gracious beachfront homes, ultra modern apartments, holiday flats and motels.
Originally, Bilinga was the name of a peak on the McPherson Range. It was adopted by the Queensland Lands Department in 1918 as a place name for Crown land north of Coolangatta.
See Southern Gold Coast for more information on Bilinga.
